Cosme Palacio Crianza 2017

Made from vines older than 40 years of age grown at an altitude over over 600m the wine is matured for 13 months in lightly toasted French barrels. It’s deep red with purple highlights, with a very intense nose of ripe red fruit, liquorice and aniseed. Ageing in new French oak brings touches of spices such as pepper, cinnamon and menthol. It is a powerful wine, with fine, ripe tannins, sweet flavours on the finish and balanced acidity bringing freshness. The finish is very long, ending on flavours of candied fruit and roasted coffee beans.

Food Pairing & Tasting Notes

Cosme Palacio Crianza 2017 is a bold and velvety red wine with luscious dark fruit flavors and a hint of spice. This exceptional red wine pairs perfectly with grilled meats, such as juicy steaks, lamb chops, and smoky barbecued ribs. Its robust tannins complement the richness of the meat and the charred flavors from the grill. It also pairs well with hearty stews, flavorful pasta dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve at room temperature to fully appreciate the depth and complexity of this remarkable Crianza wine.
